Healthy ragi porridge with coconut milk for babies and kids
This time i am here with a recipe which is given to babies/kids above widely in India. This ragi porridge can be given to babies as one of their first food. For babies less than 1yr, ragi can be given without the husk by soaking overnight. Blend in a mixer with some water and strain. Cook the strained milk like solution and cook until it thickens. Add breast milk/coconut milk once cooked. Avoid sweet/salt and ghee. For babies above 1 yr, the recipe in the video can be followed. Coconut milk can be replaced with breast milk/Cow milk also. Ragi is a millet which is very high in calcium and iron content. It is considered as a wholesome food for kids as well as adults. One serve of this ragi porridge covers your baby's daily iron requirement. Ragi also helps in weight gain in babies and strengthen the bones and teeth.
